✈️ Selangor Expands Global Aerospace Footprint in Shanghai 🇨🇳

The Selangor State Delegation, led by YB Datuk Dr. Haniff bin Zainal Abidin, Selangor State Financial Officer, and YB Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility, successfully carried out a high-impact, aerospace-focused trade mission to Shanghai, where Selangor participated under the Malaysia Pavilion at the Shanghai International Aerospace Exhibition — proudly organised by NAICO Malaysia, the national aerospace agency under MITI.

This milestone marks Malaysia’s first national aerospace pavilion in China, underscoring Selangor’s proactive role in positioning itself as a leading aerospace hub in the region.

Mission Highlights:

•⁠ ⁠Visited COMAC’s final assembly line, gaining insights into China’s SME support and COMAC’s entry into Malaysia

• Engaged with top aerospace firms — Starrag, Jetbay, Volant, and StarPorts—to explore expansion into Selangor.

• Met with logistics tech innovators Duckbill and Sinotech

• Conducted a strategic site visit to Lingang Industrial Park to inform plans for the Selangor Aero Park @ KLIA Aeropolis

This mission is part of Selangor’s ongoing efforts to grow its global aerospace presence — with the Paris Airshow 2025 as the next destination.

The meeting, chaired by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor (Chief Minister of Selangor), served as a valuable platform to explore strategic opportunities for collaboration—particularly in the areas of investment and tourism, where both Selangor and the Volta Region possess unique strengths and untapped potential. Invest Selangor also took the opportunity to invite the delegation to the Selangor International Business Summit, this coming October 2025.
