Invest Selangor Berhad, together with YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor State EXCO for Investment, Trade and Mobility, had the honour of visiting @gsemalaysia and Politeknik Banting Selangor as part of the initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration between industry and talent development institutions.

The visit to GSE-M Technology, a Malaysian engineering and manufacturing company specialising in industrial automation systems and customised engineering solutions, was welcomed by the company’s Managing Director, Mr Alfred Cheong, and provided valuable insights into the company’s capabilities in supporting high-value industries such as aerospace, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing. With its 200,000 sq ft facility in Selangor, GSE-M continues to contribute to the growth of the state’s industrial ecosystem through advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions.

The delegation later continued to Politeknik Banting Selangor (PBS), a leading TVET institution focused on producing skilled graduates in engineering, automation and aviation-related fields. The visit highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between industry players and institutions to ensure the development of a highly skilled workforce that meets industry needs.

As part of the programme, Mr Nazri Mohd Nor, representative from the Menteri Besar Selangor’s office, has presented a mock cheque to the Director of PBS, Ts. Ibrahim Bin Burhan signifies the contribution from the Selangor state government in supporting the students to undergo their On-Job Training (OJT) Programme for the Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, reinforcing the commitment towards talent development in the aerospace sector.

Invest Selangor remains committed to facilitating stronger partnerships between industry and institutions, ensuring Selangor continues to be a competitive hub for advanced manufacturing and high-value industries.

Invest Selangor Industry Working Group – Global Business Services (GBS) has been officially established, chaired by YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor State EXCO for Investment, Trade and Mobility, with YBhg. Dato’ Hasan Azhari Haji Idris, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Selangor, serving as Deputy Chair. The working group includes GBS Malaysia and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as permanent members.

The inaugural session held at Daythree Business Services Sdn Bhd brought together government and industry stakeholders to chart the next steps for strengthening Selangor’s GBS ecosystem. The working group aims to develop and enhance the GBS industry ecosystem in the state while boosting investment potential and creating high-value employment opportunities.

In conjunction with the session, YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, along with representatives from Invest Selangor and MDEC, conducted a courtesy site visit at Daythree Business Services Sdn Bhd, observing the company’s latest technology offerings and innovations for business services operations.

These coordinated efforts reflect Selangor’s commitment to cultivating a robust and forward-looking GBS ecosystem, driving innovation, attracting high-value investments, and developing a skilled workforce to support sustainable industry growth.

Invest Selangor Berhad recently held a discussion with the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO) on the Selangor Aerospace Action Plan (SAAP) 2020–2030, which was developed through engagements with industry stakeholders.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the action items and highlighted several implementation challenges, including stakeholder coordination and resource alignment. These discussions also opened opportunities for collaboration on the mid-term review of the SAAP, ensuring the action plan remains aligned with current industry needs.

As part of the engagement, a visit to the MyAERO Centre provided further insight into 3D visualisation technology and design capabilities. The facility supports talent development through certification programmes and provides access to advanced technologies that companies can leverage.
