Over the past three decades, Selangor’s transport equipment cluster has attracted over RM39 billion in investments, creating more than 87,000 jobs and contributing about 13% of the state’s manufacturing output. The state plays a pivotal role in advancing the automotive industry, especially in the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), with 900 new charging stations set to be installed in 2024 under the Rancangan Selangor 1 roadmap. Selangor is also promoting Managed Industrial Parks (MIPs) to provide the infrastructure needed for a supportive industrial ecosystem.
In aerospace, Selangor has long been the nation’s gateway with two international airports and has benefited from key national initiatives such as the KLIA Aeropolis and Subang Airport Rejuvenation Plan (SARP). The Selangor Aero Park (SAP) further strengthens its role as a regional MRO hub, supported by the state government’s strong commitment.
Complementing its sustainability agenda and the SDGs, Selangor is also prioritizing the rail industry through the Selangor Rail Council, which leads the development of a comprehensive rail ecosystem.
