In 2025, Selangor recorded RM83.9 billion in approved investments, reaffirming its position as one of the country’s premier investment hubs.
This achievement reflects a sophisticated, advanced economy where the Services sector maintains its dominance, while manufacturing retains its high importance through high-value, specialised production. This milestone is a testament to the unwavering confidence of investors and the strength of Selangor’s business ecosystem.
Notably, Selangor also secured the highest number of investment projects in Malaysia for 2025 – proving that we remain the preferred choice for diverse industries.

Invest Selangor is proud to participate in the recent MyMahir – Future Skills Talent Council (FSTC) Aerospace Sector 1st Council Meeting (2nd Cycle 2026), hosted by TalentCorp Malaysia. The focus of this important council is clear: to proactively close the skills gap in fast-growing, high-tech industries — starting with aerospace in this session. By aligning tertiary and vocational education with real industry needs, we’re building a stronger talent pipeline for Malaysia’s future economy.
With Selangor currently accounting for around 68% of the country’s aerospace output and the exciting development of Selangor Aero Park (SAP) on the horizon, ensuring a ready supply of skilled talent for the entire aerospace value chain has never been more critical.
We’re genuinely excited to contribute to the council’s work and to continue strengthening Selangor’s talent ecosystem so that local talent can power both current operations and tomorrow’s growth opportunities in this strategic sector.

Thrilled to share that Invest Selangor recently hosted the inaugural Talent Working Group Session of 2026 - an exclusive gathering that brought together key players from the State Economic Planning Unit, Selangor Technical Development Center (STDC), Selangor Human Resource Development Center (SHRDC), PERKESO, TalentCorp, Aisling Group, and Randstad.
The objective was straightforward yet impactful: to establish a dedicated platform where Selangor’s talent ecosystem can connect more meaningfully and align efforts more effectively.
We explored practical ways Invest Selangor can take a stronger role in strengthening the state’s talent landscape, building on programmes already offered by our partners, and identifying new approaches to create a more robust and responsive talent pipeline. The ultimate aim remains unchanged: ensuring Selangor stays highly competitive, continues to attract quality investments, and generates meaningful employment opportunities.
It is a work in progress, and there is more to be done. Stay tuned!

Invest Selangor Berhad, together with YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor State EXCO for Investment, Trade and Mobility, had the honour of visiting @gsemalaysia and Politeknik Banting Selangor as part of the initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration between industry and talent development institutions.
The visit to GSE-M Technology, a Malaysian engineering and manufacturing company specialising in industrial automation systems and customised engineering solutions, was welcomed by the company’s Managing Director, Mr Alfred Cheong, and provided valuable insights into the company’s capabilities in supporting high-value industries such as aerospace, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing. With its 200,000 sq ft facility in Selangor, GSE-M continues to contribute to the growth of the state’s industrial ecosystem through advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions.
The delegation later continued to Politeknik Banting Selangor (PBS), a leading TVET institution focused on producing skilled graduates in engineering, automation and aviation-related fields. The visit highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between industry players and institutions to ensure the development of a highly skilled workforce that meets industry needs.
As part of the programme, Mr Nazri Mohd Nor, representative from the Menteri Besar Selangor’s office, has presented a mock cheque to the Director of PBS, Ts. Ibrahim Bin Burhan signifies the contribution from the Selangor state government in supporting the students to undergo their On-Job Training (OJT) Programme for the Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, reinforcing the commitment towards talent development in the aerospace sector.
Invest Selangor remains committed to facilitating stronger partnerships between industry and institutions, ensuring Selangor continues to be a competitive hub for advanced manufacturing and high-value industries.
